साल के 365 दिन छात्रहित के कार्यक्रम चलानेवाला संघटन, ABVP जब छात्र चुनाव लड़ता है, तब अपने काम को आगे रखता है और एक एक कार्यकर्ता से बने संघटन का उपयोग करता है। कार्यकर्ता भी निस्वार्थ भाव से चुनाव में कड़ी मेहनत करते है। हर चुनाव जीतने के लिए लढ़ा जाता है, मगर अन्य राजनीतिक दलोकी छात्र इकाई के द्वारा साम दाम दंड भेद से चुनाव जीतना ABVP जैसे सिद्धांतवादी संघटन स्वीकार नही कर सकता। न ही २ सीटों से हुई हार से सालभर चलनेवाली गतिविधियों पर कुछ असर पड़ेगा, क्योंकि सिर्फ चुनाव लड़ना और जीतना ABVP का एक मात्र एजेंडा नही है। चुनाव तो १-२ सप्ताह की गतिविधि है, जिसका प्रयोग ABVP, छात्र समस्योंको उजागर करनेमें, अपनी विचारोंका प्रसार करनेमें और नए विद्यार्थियोंको संघटनमें लाने के लिए करती है। यह बात मीडिया और ABVP की जानकारी रखने वाले लोगोका समझना मुश्किल है। वह राजनीतिक दलोकी तरह छात्रसंघ चुनाव को भी छात्र संघटन की ताकत परखनेका एक मात्र माध्यम समझते है। छात्रों का समर्थन किस संघटन को है इसका अंदाज हम इन चुनावोसे लगा सकते है। पर इसके साथ ही कौनसा संघटन स्वयंम को छात्रोंके सामने प्रभावी रूपसे रखता ह...

As an activist in student movement, I have been skeptical of the ruling party's decisions. But, today I'm very happy to know about the ruling party's decision to nominate Ramnath Kovind as ruling coalition's candidate for Presidential Elections. While the main-stream media and the people who are only dependent on media as a source of information are taken by surprise and some even tweeted that they never knew a person by this name who is infact  current Governor of Bihar! I thought it must be some nuisance-creators representing a political party. With the flags, I got to know that this was an ABVP rally.      Coffee shop, is the place where the first ABVP meeting was scheduled at 4pm. Two second year engineering students, me and Mahesh, were working hard to inform other students. Mahesh had an experience of ABVP activism in his diploma college in Beed. I had completed just one year working as an ABVP activist. My previous college, AISSMS Polytechnic was not a smooth experience for me building an ABVP unit there, as multiple experiments failed. I was nervous about starting ABVP activities in Raisoni Campus as it had no previous history of ABVP work and it was situated 15km away from the central city, where most of the ABVP strength was concentrated.
